Looks very promising

I likes it, I likes it - looking forward to seeing the actual movie/series. :-)

Enzer0 responds:

thanks man - you'll see it soon

I got a chuckle.

Cute. Very short, but what's there is drawn fairly well. :-)

ProdigalFlashMaster responds:

Thanks, I take a lot of time drawing the art.

Cryptic, indeed!

You're right, this was a bit cryptic. But sometimes, a flash that doesn't make any obvious sense (i.e., one you have to think about to try to figure out what it means, or if it even means anything at all) is the best kind. I didn't quite get it, but that's okay - I still enjoyed it anyway. A bit whimsical & a random feel to it. Keep it up! :-)

Foxcato responds:

Thank you very much:) That's what I like to do with most of my films. I believe it's a good thing if people are forced to think a little once in a while.
They don't always have to get everything served on a silver plate.

Just a comment on your graphics

I don't see it here, but I noticed in a review for another of your flicks that someone had dissed your graphics. For the record, I don't see it a poor quality at all - I see it more as your style. Sure, things could be drawn more realistically, but by and large folks don't watch toons to see photorealistic action. Even if you're still just developing your skills, I could very easily believe every line and color is exactly how you want it to be - just because it's "you". Things others call flaws are actually what gives an artist their own individual "flavor". I like the taste of your work. ;-) Keep it up! :-)

vezanmatics responds:

thank you so much, that really means a lot.

and yes, i have a very developed style.

Line tool and simple but effective color gradations are most apparent, while solid colors and the paintbrush tool are very rarely used by me. I don't know how everyone else uses the paintbrush tool and gets such a neat line.. for me it always ends up real sloppy.

I'm actually watching this right now and thinking, wow, this is.. really crappy.

Anyway, thanks for your support. :)

I love your style.

That, and I like your seeming sense of what the future may bring. You seem to have been influenced at least somewhat by the more recent "Terminator" output. That's such a cool mythos to explore, and in some ways it seems so realistic. I look forward to seeing where you take this thing. :-)

vezanmatics responds:

Thanks and review my other flashes! You'll like "Alphie's Story" best if you like the future.

I like it.

You're right, it's not bad at all. I like it. :-) May I ask what program you used to create it?

LuccasBode responds:

Blender 3D, The Gimp, Paint, Windows Movie Maker, Audacity, and, yeah, Flash MX 2004 \o/

Passable, but...

...you should probably stick it out (no pun intended) and wait until you have all the sound issues taken care of. It was interesting, but another thing you might consider is moving the limbs around more - ideally, you should probably add elbow & knee joints, but just bending them more often and in more directions would be sufficient. In any case, good luck! :-)

drakfire56 responds:

i did try tomake elbows and knees out of justcreating an oval and putting in two bones on each arm and leg but it didnt work out so im just going to make characters with more details that make it seem like they really do have two part legs and arms etc.

Makes no sense and is downright creepy

...which is why I like it so much - it's just like ME!!! :-)

Seriously, interesting work. Loved the mood set up by the flickering & twitchy effects. :-)

Foxcato responds:

Thank you very much.

Very cool concept

Love the concept, and love the style in which you chose to express it. Nice work! :-)

karthon responds:

well concept is way better than animation ((

Would this happen to be a young Blockhead?

Just curious. Looks a lot like him. :-) Cool flick, keep it up! :-)

Sethdd responds:

nah, its just some random character I made lol, thanks for the review

Beauty is where you see it.
