I don't normally like claymations, but...

...having seen another flash of yours I really liked, I thought I'd check this one out. WOW! This is pretty good. Thanks for sharing! :-)

A fan-effing-tastic flick!

Excellent work both creatively and technically! This sort of thing could become very addicting very quickly. More! More! ;-)

Expectedly unexpected!

You did all the cliches one might want to think of, but took them in totally unexpected directions. Except maybe the "free your mind" one, that one bordered on "somewhat halfway nearly expected". But even so, all of 'em were great!

:-)

Ambiguous but cool

I got part of the idea, but I'm not 100% sure I got it all. Still, nice to watch just the same. Was the bird supposed to be a kiwi, by chance? :-?

Realimation - I love it!

Very cute - and the animation wasn't bad, either. ;-) Seriously, though, I loved this. I was once a fan of the movie "Coolworld", and ever since then the mixture of real life and toons has been a classic favorite of mine. Hope you make more, 'cuz you're actually GOOD at it! :-)

BritishMoose responds:

I'll probably try using this medium for something serious sooner or later. Watch out for it :o

Touching.

Very touching indeed, beautiful. Perfect visuals for the song. :-) I figured what that last stone might become - it almost looked like I was wrong for a moment, until "One Year Later" appeared on the screen. Great work! :-)

kyle-christie responds:

thanks Uriah..one scene we thought about was having the niece kneeling at the gravestone and she gets up and puts that last stone into place! it would have been a nice touch i think but we ran out of time and had to finish the flash (if not the wall)

Loved it!

Very good flash! If you'd ever like help getting your English grammar just right, feel free to e-mail me. Grammar is trivial compared to such great content, but it's a moment's worth of "spit & polish" I'd be glad to offer if your future works are going to be anything like this. Great job! :-)

I hate to use the term "stylish", but...

...the label fits. "Stylish" sounds almost cliche anymore, but this was very stylish indeed. Cool rhythm, cool syncing of action to tune, interesting scenario very well laid-out (at least if you were paying attention) - there's nothing I would even try to improve upon about this. Great work! 10/10 & a full 5! :-)

Wow, I thought this was REALLY going to suck...

..and I was right! {8-O

;-) PSYCHE! I liked it. Once the really painful faux-flash was over and they began killing people, it got very funny very quickly. Well worth waiting for, and as much as I didn't like the first part, it really was a necessary evil to establish the backdrop for the good stuff. So anyone who starts watching it and thinks about closing it prior to the carnage, DON'T! At least wait until you see Blockhead. If you don't like it by then, then okay, close it. But anything before that isn't a fair shake! ;-)

RSQViper responds:

I agree. It was necessary, but even then there are some funny parts in the beginning. I mean, the User puking all over his comp is pretty priceless.

Glad you liked our movie!

Potential is there

You definitely have potential. :-) Only thing I would suggest at this point is to go with more shapes, you've got way too many circles and lines in this one - any other shape is fine in addition to circles & lines, but if you could forsake the plain circles & lines completely, I think you'd make some really rockin' shorts. Good luck, & welcome to the wonderful world of flash creation! :-)

RodentPrincessSakura responds:

Thank you for your opinion. I really appreciate it. I know that it got really repetitive with the shapes, but I'm trying to figure out different ways of making the same shapes and symbols over and over again besides using the library. Right now, I'm working on two shorts that are going to be put together into one flash. It's going to look way more advanced than this one (a huge portion of that is because I will be using a higher fps) and I'm hoping that I don't fall on my face with it. Thank you once again. It's really helpful!

Beauty is where you see it.
